i went out with my 2nd cousin last Monday at my old hometown. *miss my old home...* well, it's been almost a year since i last met her. she's one of my closest cousins. :P
after lunch, we hung out at the Pyramid. saje lepak-lepak kat Pyramid since it's the nearest not-so-boring place to hang out. we decided to watch a movie. she wanted to watch The Incredible Hulk. i don't really enjoy watching comic movies. Plus, a guy who turns into a huge-green giant and saves the world is not really my type of guy. :P i actually wanted to watch Kung Fu Panda. but she already watched it..
rather than watching Long Khong (ee-ww movie...), we finally decided to watch this: The Happening. directed by M. Night Shyamalan. yup, he's one of my favourite movie directors and he likes to make people wondering and thinking-hard after watching his movies. ^_^'
my first impression of this movie: "maybe it's another 'the end of day' story.."
so, we wait..and see..and watch...(read: "we hide, we watch, we wait..." :P)
first scene: one lady kills herself...by poking her neck with a stick to death...
and i thought: "Ow-Kay...ada scene bunuh-bunuh la plak..."
then we continue watching and waiting...which later turns out there were more killings or should i say suicide attempts happened. then i realize that this movie is as cruel as Long Khong but in English version..and i think it's normal to Mr. Shyamalan to direct a movie which his viewers only got to know what the movie is all about at the end of the movie.
so..what's up with these suicide attempts?? what's the moral of the story??
before i reveal the cause of this mysterious and brutal actions, i think i wanna give you time to figure them out.
p/s: before we got back home, we watched Kung Fu Panda. (",)v
